The Ohio State University (OSU) recently hosted Fran Horowitz as a 2023 guest speaker for the university’s CEO club. The club is a student-led organization driven with the purpose of inspiring and educating members through lectures and open discussions from executives within the community.
In a room-full of OSU students with varying undergraduate majors and career goals, Fran led an empowering discussion, beneficial for any young professional striving to learn from the experiences and background of a global retail executive. In a discussion focused on career paths and opportunities, Fran shared insights into her background, answered questions about her education and provided advice for the aspiring students.
Fran encouraged the students to take risks when necessary and find the importance of balance in life. She went on to share some of the ways she balances her personal and professional life, including spending time with her family mixed in with a little yoga.
She opened up about times in her career when she faced challenges, which she learned to navigate over time. Fran also shared the value of being okay with change, both personally and professionally, which helped her to get to where she is today.
